Wind Chimes (Reading)

The Race (Description)

The Race (Description)

The participants of the race run, feeling tired and dirty. Some of the children look like they are flying as they jump over the hurdles. Parents are looking out eagerly for their kids. Everyone is cold and wishes to be in a cosy blanket with a soothing cup of hot chocolate. Feet and shoes splash in the messy mud. I can see trees gently swaying in the distance. The spectators are all in warm clothing to stay warm in the cold breeze. What was once spikey green grass is now just a muddy mush. Some people fold their arms to maintain their body heat. I see the athletes jumping over the hurdles and running with all the energy left in their exhausted bodies. They are all eager to win and try their best to and do the best that they can. The clouds cover up the sun that makes the weather all cold and breezy. Muddy puddles are scattered across the vast field. I can faintly hear branches and leaves rustling in the distance. As runners run, they leave behind muddy footprints that slowly disappear in the icky mud. In the distance, are lime-green public toilets. It looks quite old and shaggy. The crowd nervously watches on to see who will win. A boy in blue shorts and a blonde-brown coloured hair takes lead. His fellow competitors are hot on his tail. The runners are all working hard and putting in all their effort.

Personally, if I were one of the runners, I wouldn't have been able to complete the whole race. The runners must have very strong stamina's to run such a long race. They did very well and tried their best.
