A diamond ring is a type of jewellery that features a diamond. Diamond rings come in many different shapes, sizes, and colours.

Paragraph 2- Different shapes and colours of rings

Some of the colours of diamonds are: siam, ruby, garnet, sun, Indian red, clitrine, peridot, olivine, emerald, sapphire, turquoise, cobalt, amethyst, violet, rose and many more. Shades of rings are, faint, very light, light, fancy light, fancy, fancy intense, fancy vivid and fancy deep. The shapes of different diamonds are round, cushion, princess, asscher, heart, pear, emerald, radiant, oval and marquise.

Paragraph 3-How is the diamond formed

Diamonds are a mineral of carbon. They are naturally formed in the earth's mantle. Once they are fully formed, they are pushed to the earth’s surface by a volcano. After a volcanic eruption, diamonds of all different shapes are scattered on the ground.

Paragraph 4- How the ring is made

Firstly, the ring is sketched out in the design that has been chosen. Next, a 3D generated model is made using a printer. It is then sent to a 3D printer for physical printing. Then a waxing machine is used to make a thin wax model, layer after layer. Two different types of waxes are used to make the model, a blue casting wax on the inside and a red support wax on the outside of the blue. It takes 18 hours for a ring model to print. The model is then put in a bath containing a cleaning solution. Then tweezers are used to get rid of the stubborn red wax.  The model is then attached with other ring models onto what is a tree for rings. They are attached so that many rings can be made all at once. The tree is then covered in plaster and is placed in a clome for many hours until the wax burns out. The metal needed to cover the ring is then chosen out and melted with fire. A temperature of 1064.444 degrees celsius is needed to melt gold and the temperature of 1768.333 degrees celsius needs to be reached to melt platinum. After the desired metal has been melted, the metal is poured into the mold and placed in cold water to cool down and harden. Then the casing is removed and each ring is carefully taken off the ring tree. The ring is then sent to be cleaned and get ready to be sold. Files are used to get rid of the sprue that connected the ring to the tree. The support bar is then separated from the ring and the ring is sanded to make sure there are no rough edges. Finally, a hammer is used to make sure the ring is the right size and shape.  After the ring has been shaped properly, it is sent for a pre-polish by a buffer. A green rouge polishing compound is added to help make the metal shiny. The ring is then rinsed in an ultrasonic bath made of mainly water and soap. At the store, the completed ring is received and the stones are picked in the correct size and shape. After that, the diamonds are carefully checked to make sure they are perfect. Once the correct stones are selected, the stones are ready to be placed onto the ring. A shellac wax is used to keep the ring in place. It is heated and shaped around the ring. The diamonds are then hammered into the right spots and are secured with prongs to make sure they stay in place. Lastly, the completed ring is sent for a final polish, making sure it shines like a star.

Conclusion-
Now you know how a diamond ring is made. I hope that when you get a  diamond ring, you take special care of it because it takes a lot of work to make and costs a lot.
