The Lost Lotto Ticket Narrative

The Lost Lotto Ticket

“Hey Anya, I think your phone is ringing,” said Anya’s cousin, Aarav.

“Thanks,” she replied, then answered the call.

“Hello.”

“Yes, are you, Anya.”

“Yes, what happened.”

“Well sorry to bother you by calling, but you have just won the lottery.”

Anya was very delighted and overwhelmed to hear this news. She told all her family and friends. They were all delighted and headed to the mall. They had come to India for a trip and were currently in Dehli, their final destination. They had planned to go to the bazar then the mall, but they didn’t know that their day was going to be much different than they had anticipated!

Paragraph 1-

They were all looking around for things they could use or wanted. It was enjoyable.

Anya was at a store selling bangles. There were many different colours ad varieties of them. She was utterly bewildered about which ones she wanted because she liked them all. If she could, she would buy them all. Finally, she made up her mind. Her family and friends had planned to meet up together so that they could head to the mall together.

Paragraph 2-

The group reunited and then showed each other what they had each got. When it came to Anya’s turn, she placed her bag and lotto ticket close to her on the ground. But by the time she had ended showing them her things, her belongings were gone. She examined her surroundings and spotted to street children, each carrying one of her belongings, running away.  Everyone was shocked to know that Anya’s things were gone. They all started looking around for the children with the objects they had stolen.

Paragraph 3-

After a good hour of searching, Anya’s cousin, Aarav finally spotted her purse lying on one of the various footpaths of Dehli. Everyone was so happy, but Anya. She had found her bag but not her ticket. By the end of the day, everyone was tired and ready to go back to bed. The next morning, everyone was scurrying around their hotel rooms, packing to go home. Anya was busy in her hotel sweet, sorting out her things. She was still sad about not finding her lotto ticket. But while she was organising her purse, she felt something weird in her purse. She took it out and was thrilled to see what it was. It was . . . her lost lotto ticket she had searched everywhere for! Her sister, Manya, walked past her with a puzzled expression. “Ummm, are you ok Anya?” she asked. “Ya, I just won 50 million dollars!” she replied agitatedly

Paragraph 4-

Turns out that the boys had placed the ticket back inside the bag this whole time. Anya had learned a few lessons from this. Firstly, don’t just abandon your belongings on the ground beside you for a while and secondly, don’t make quick assumptions without investigating.  Life was going to be so great for her back in Auckland New Zealand.

Conclusion-

The next afternoon, everyone was back in Auckland and in the comfort of their own home. Anya was so cheerful and busy considering of ways she could spend 50 million dollars but she also needed to share some with her family and friends. Life was better now.

How do Banks Work? (Explanation)

How Do Banks Work? (Explanation)

Do you know how a bank works and what it is? A bank is a  place that stores your money and keeps the money safe in vaults. I bet you all have a piggy bank, right? Banks are like piggy banks but it is larger and safer. It is also a place where you can lend and borrow money from the bank and others. For Example, people can borrow money from you but they have to give it back to you and the bank. That is called interest. But you only get 2% of the interest and the bank gets 5% of the interest. Have you ever wondered how a bank works and how the whole system in a bank works? Well, I’m going to tell you how.

Paragraph 1-

When you open a bank account, you deposit some money to the bank. This means that you give some of your money to the bank so that they can keep it safe for future purposes or needs. Lots of people put their trust into banks and deposit their money to the bank. In other words, everyone trusts banks to keep their money safe and prevent it from being stolen.

Paragraph 2-

As I mentioned, people can borrow money from you and you can borrow money from others too. But the person that borrows money has to pay it back a year later. For example, I deposit 500 dollars that I get on my birthday into my bank account. I get the 2% interest but I also get an additional 2 dollars each year! Isn’t that great?  Who knew you could get such a big profit from just depositing money into the bank

Paragraph 3-

When you have a bank account, you will have a savings account. After opening it, you can start saving up money and put it into your savings account. For example, you could purchase cheaper items instead of the more expensive ones you may have bought in the past. Or, you could save money by not buying things that aren’t so necessary if you really want to save money.

Paragraph 4- Conclusion

I hope you have learnt something about how banks work and will use this knowledge in the future. Banks are in pretty much every place in the world and you can store your money in them when you need to. With the help of a bank near you, you can store your money and keep it safe. And don’t worry, it won’t get stolen.
